RmSet-Dataset > New/Modify/Copy

In the context of RmSet definition the standard functions "Insert before", "Modify" and "Insert after" allow for entering the data directly line by line as they are stored in the tcl file.

In the GUI it is normally recommended to use rather the "Info" button, which allows for guided definition of the data to be entered (see RmSet > Data set modification).

In some situations (serial modification of one or 2 items in various RmSets) it might be useful (quicker) to use this direct modification functionality instead of using the extended modification GUI. However, new RmSets should in any case be created by using the "Info" button.

SettingDescription
Object RmSets consist of several sub-sets which are called objects. The data of each subset is grouped in up to 5 columns in one line of the table. The object name indicates the meaning of the data in the 5 columns. Some of the object names appear just once in the table (eg. TYPE defining the type of the RmSet), others appear several times (e.g. tables of elements to be processed or load cases to be processed, etc.).
Col1 to Col5 Data belonging to the current sub-set. The meaning and relevance of the data is dependent on the line type (object type).
